I gained an amazing sister-in-law when my brother married Reegan! They have a wild love story where they met and got married all within a year, spending most of it long distance. They were crazy enough to leave California this year, just weeks away from Reegan’s due date, and move to Oklahoma just minutes from us.
Their journey to becoming parents was not an easy one. There were many tears and hundreds of prayers over the course of a few years. Throughout the process God gave Reegan a promise, that she would have a daughter and she would name her Hosanna. That hope allowed them to continue to take each next step in order to grow to their family.
Then came Hosanna! The baby that was prayed for, promised, and wholly loved before she ever came to be. I had the honor of being with Rick and Reegan the day Hosanna was born and I am not sure I have ever seen such joy as I did on my brothers face the moment he delivered his baby girl and presented her to his wife. I might start crying if I think about it for too long!
These pictures are not just of a mom and her baby. These photos hold the weight of years of prayer, disheartening negative tests, so many doctors appointments, countless shots, and of the hope they held onto. I am reminded every time I take pictures of her what a miracle it is to have her here. Thank you Reegan for sharing her with us and for giving me such a sweet niece!
