Samantha and Robby had their engagement session at the RSU Nature Reserve this last weekend. They are getting married in September and I can’t wait to capture their big day at Hidden Rose in Sapulpa! Samantha and Robby are parents to three young kids who are so excited to see the two of them get married! It is always my favorite thing to spend time with couples before the wedding day and get to know them better. We talked about our kids, practiced the posing system and survived a very hot summer session. I love that when I see them at the wedding we will not be strangers!

It was very hot and humid but thankfully it was cooler than it has been! We got lucky and it was under 90 degrees. Summer sessions are not for the faint of heart though! They both love the outdoors and open fields so they made the drive out to Claremore and we took advantage of RSU’s beauty. I loved getting the opportunity to shoot here in the summer! It was gorgeous as always.

Samantha really wanted some pictures of them in their truck but the parking lot is not a great background. We ended up heading over to my property and drove the truck out onto my hill for a few pictures. We even got the pond in a few! It was so hot we were all a bit tempted to jump into it! Instead, we wrapped up the session with some glowy light and we all cooled off with some much needed air conditioning.

September will be here before we know it and I can’t wait to watch these two say their vows. They are such a sweet couple and I am honored that they chose me as their photographer! Here are a few of my favorites from this session!
