I am excited to announce that I am officially booking weddings! I have several weddings already on the calendar for this year and I can’t wait to begin this new adventure.

Yesterday I got the opportunity to attend a styled shoot at Discoveryland Ranch. The event was hosted by Babe & Co. Bridal Team and they did an incredible job! The vendors that contributed were all amazing and kind. I was also able to meet and get to know several local photographers. This was my first time attending an event like this and I can’t wait to attend another!

Family portraits will always be a love of mine and those sessions aren’t going anywhere! However, this opportunity to grow my business and serve people in a new way has me giddy with excitement. Weddings can be stressful, but they are also a day full of love and joy and everything in between. As the photographer you get the honor to capture those emotions and create images that make those moments last forever.

When I got married I was 21 years old. I had no idea about wedding timelines, family formals or even that sunset portraits were a thing. I found my guy and I just wanted to marry him and look pretty doing it. Our photographers went above and beyond on our wedding day! They helped keep the pace for the day a they made sure that we got every photo that I could ever want.

To be honest, I don’t remember most of the photos that were taken. What I do remember is how they made me feel. They never once made me feel bad for what I didn’t know, or stressed for being behind schedule. They were kind to our family and they blended in seamlessly with our friends. When it came time for sunset portraits they even cried because they said it was so beautiful. They cared about us and I felt that through out then entire day. Every time I look at our wedding photos those feelings come back to me.

That is the business model I strive to emulate. Your wedding day is too special to spend it with someone who doesnt make you feel cared for. It is to personal to have someone with you all day that you do not enjoy spending time with. I want to feel like a friend to you. Better yet, I want to BE your friend!
